Ledroit (3 x 12)District Rug Shoppe
DIMENSIONS: 3'0" x 11'2"
ORIGIN: 1920s Malayer
RUG COLORS: Teal, rose, oxblood, sage green, cream
MATERIALS: Wool pile on cotton.
DESCRIPTION: The LeDroit is a malayer rug, hand-knotted by a cottage industry of small shops and in-home weavers. All-over floral designs like the one in this runner were likely inspired by the ornate designs observed in neighboring city workshops. The more coarsely knotted patterns and slightly more angular designs lend charm and character, and explain why malayers have been a favored rug style for designers for decades.
This rug has been treated with an antique wash, softening its tones to appeal to the palette of any modern-day home. Pattern, color variation, and signs of wear with vintage items is normal.
PILE: Low pile. We recommend rug pads with all District Rug Shoppe Rugs.
